- making your experience at the University an especially stimulating
and rewarding one?
- being involved in learning that has exciting, meaningful impacts
on the future?
- exploring new frontiers instead of merely learning about what
has been done before?
Consider an educational experience in a dynamic research community
that complements traditional education in exciting new ways!
The Center for LifeLong Learning and Design (L3D) is seeking a
small number of motivated sophomores or juniors to participate
in the activities of L3D under the Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship
Program. Students from computer science, cognitive science,
architecture and planning, or related fields with a strong interest
in applying technology to learning, design, and participatory collaboration
are encouraged to apply.
Recipients will have the opportunity to be involved in state-of-the-art,
ongoing projects that allow you to work with us to create innovations
in the application of technologies to learning and design. Successful
candidates will be invited to continue as an undergraduate research
apprentice throughout their undergraduate studies.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop a portfolio of
major system-building experience and publications as well as to
acquire a firsthand understanding of what research and scholarly
work means. In the course of your involvement, you will participate
in research meetings and workshops, including opportunities to present
your own work, as well as interact with industrial research collaborators.
All of these opportunities could open doors to some of the best
graduate schools or to key industrial research opportunity
