I like to Ski

Well, er, I guess I really like to Jump . . .

(And I have to admit that my best jumping days are long gone by now)
Backflips are fun because you get a great view of the landing, plus you can control your spin during flight. This picture, and the "loop" picture below were taken at Loveland during the mid '80's when the ski areas were a little more lax about people doing inverted arials.
This picture was taken at A-basin, near the "east wall". Due to poor flight planning, I actually landed on the photographer (my cousin Jim), and caused him considerable pain and permanent damage to his leg. I'm still sorry, Jim!
This stunt is called a "side flip" (aka Lincoln's Loop). I am traveling forward through the air (perpendicular to the plane of the screen) while doing a "cartwheel" in a plane parallel to the screen. In the picture I am half way through the cartwheel.
