In May, 2009 I accepted a software engineering position
at UNAVCO,
a non-profit consortium that facilitates geoscience
research and education using geodesy. It is exciting to be able to combine
my research experience in human-computer interaction with my industry
experience in software engineer and apply it to cutting edge applied
geoscience. I am really enjoying this change.

The roots of my infatuation with academia can be traced back
to when I was six years old. |

In October of 1997, NexData Solutions, Inc. was
formed when Information Handling
Services Inc. (IHS®) acquired the Data
Services Business of Dataware Technologies, Inc. Dataware still
exists, but the Boulder office is now owned by IHS. |

In March of 1997 I accepted
a position as a software developer with Dataware
Technologies in Boulder, CO to develop commercial CD-ROM applications
using Microsoft's Visual C++ and a proprietary database engine designed
specifically for large datasets and rapid retrieval. |

From 1989 to
1997 I worked as a software developer for AT&T,
and Lucent Technologies. This was a fantastic place to begin my career. |
