Yunwen Ye, Co-Principal InvestigatorI am a Research Associate at the Center for LifeLong Learning & Design, University of Colorado, Boulder. My research interests include understanding various technical and social factors of collaboration among knowledge workers, and developing computational platforms that facilitate situated knowledge collaboration. In particular, I use software development as a test field of understanding and supporting situated knowledge collaboration, focusing on its cognitive and social aspects. By conceptualizing a software system as a socio-technical information space that consists of people, code, and documents that are inter-linked, I am studying how knowledge is created, transfered and combined in software development.
