Remarks

I began my work with the Center for LifeLong Learning and Design at the University of Colorado, Boulder in the summer of 2003 after having just completed my sophomore year of college. I work under Hal Eden as part of the Participate-in-the-Action Board (PitA Board) project team. Within this project I am exploring the role of critics in an interactive environment. I am exploring different forms of critics in an attempt to develop a system that is most useful and usable to a user and finding a balance between intrusiveness and discreteness.

Working with this particular project has been an amazing learning experience particularly because of the interesting topics within the field of computer science I have had a chance to explore. Paying an enormous amount of attention to how people of all ages will interact with our system makes this research project a lot less monotonous and gives me a lot more motivation an interest to proceed with my research.
