Bio:
Dr. Thomas Winkler has a masters in Design and Pedagogy and a PhD in Philosophy.
His thesis was, "The unwritten Philosophy of Art of Maurice Merleau-Ponty".
He taught as at various universities both in Germany and abroad. His courses
concerned art theory, design theory, the theory of architecture and media,
the history of culture, art, design and architecture and aesthetics.

Dr. Winkler is the project coordinator of the KiMM (Kids in Media and Motion) initiative <http://artdecom.mesh.de/KiMM-Website/index.html>. KiMM is based on an innovative approach concerning the use of digital technologies in an action-based and body-based form of instruction in elementary and secondary schools.
