For many years, we have talked about seeding, evolutionary growth, and reseeding and for some years about meta-design.
This talk will try to deepen our understanding of these issues by focusing on the concept of "seed" - understood as a socio-technical environment. Based on interviews with several researchers, we will present our extended framework, analyzes success and failure stories and hopefully provide a new foundation for many research efforts in the future.
