The Envisionment and Discovery Collaboratory
(EDC): Visions and Realities
Abstract
A large number of L3D researchers has been working on the EDC for
several years. This presentation will assess which of the visions associated
with the EDC have become realities. The discussion will be seeded by the following
presentations:
- Hal Eden and his URAs: EDC - an end-user modifiable version of Simcity
supporting domain-expert content contributions (illustrating specific technical
developments done over last 12 months)
- Elisa Giaccardi: EDC - a meta-design
analysis
- Gerhard Fischer: EDC - Supporting the Integration of Individual
and Social Creativity
