Working and Learning When the Answer is Not Known

Abstract

Learning is an essential part of work, particularly in contexts where the answer is not known. Despite this critical role, learning has been largely ignored by the CSCW community. In this talk, I will discuss why future research activities in CSCW should give more attention to learning, argue for its integration with working and collaboration, and present innovative approaches and media to support this integration
